Toowoomba Dental Reopen
Dear Valued Patients,
On Tuesday 21st April, The Federal Government announced that dental restrictions will be eased from level 3 to level 2, effective Monday 27th April. As a result, we have decided to reopen our doors with a couple of changes to ensure the health and safety of our patients, staff and the general community.
We are currently working through prioritising patients who had their appointment/s cancelled under the level 3 restrictions and those that have an emergency requiring immediate treatment. Please note that under the level 2 restrictions, specific dental procedures are not permitted to be undertaken and therefore some treatment will continue to be deferred until further notice.
When you arrive for your appointment, please remain in your vehicle and telephone reception on (07) 4646 4236 to inform us that you have arrived for your appointment. Reception will either ask you to remain in your car (until we phone you back) or proceed to wait on our front veranda. You will then be directed to enter once your Dentist is ready to see you. These measures are in place to restrict patient flow through the common areas.
Some changes you may notice:
Social distancing measures implemented throughout the practice
No magazines in reception
Fewer reception chairs
Staff wearing masks in reception and when greeting you
Increased environmental cleaning of high contact areas
Additional questions regarding your health and recent travel
Less staff working at any one time
Less available appointments to limit patient flow through the facility.
We kindly ask that you advise us if you have:
returned from overseas travel in the past 14 days
felt/feel unwell, including but not limited to symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath
had any contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
Limit accompanying persons at your appointment
Arrive on time for your appointment, but no more than 10min prior to your scheduled appointment time
Use supplied alcohol-based hand sanitiser on arrival and conclusion of your appointment.
Toowoomba Dental will continue to review the COVID-19 pandemic, and any legislative changes that affect the operational status going forward will be communicated with all patients.
We apologise for any inconvenience, however our patient and staff safety is of our utmost concern in this highly volatile and uncertain time in the world.
Kind Regards,
Drs David & Michael Baker
