Toowoomba Dental Open Update
On Friday 8th May, The Dental Board of Australia (DBA) announced that dental restrictions will be eased from level 2 to level 1, effective immediately. As a result, this means that we can now see patients for all types of dental procedures using standard infection control precautions. Please note that under the level 1 restrictions, only patients that do not meet epidemiological or clinical risk factors for COVID-19 infection transmission are permitted to be treated.
We are currently working through prioritising patients who could not attend their appointment/s under the level 2 and 3 restrictions and those that have an emergency requiring immediate treatment.
When you arrive for your appointment, please proceed to reception to notify us that you have arrived for your appointment. Reception will either ask you to take a seat inside or proceed to wait on our front veranda in an effort to maintain social distancing in the non-clinical areas.
Some changes you may notice:
Social distancing measures implemented throughout non-clinical areas of the practice
No magazines or children’s toys in the waiting room
Fewer waiting room chairs
Increased environmental cleaning of high contact areas
Additional questions regarding your health and recent travel
Less staff working at any one time
We kindly ask that you:
Limit accompanying persons at your appointment
Arrive on time for your appointment, but no more than 10min prior to your scheduled appointment time
Use supplied alcohol-based hand sanitiser on arrival and conclusion of your appointment Toowoomba Dental will continue to review the COVID-19 pandemic, and any legislative changes that affect the operational status going forward will be communicated with all patients.
Advise us if you have:
