Dr Michael Baker established Toowoomba Dental in 2015 with the goal of creating a dental practice that felt different from the traditional clinical experience. The practice operates from a restored heritage home in East Toowoomba, creating a welcoming environment designed to help patients feel relaxed from the moment they arrive. Dr Michael Baker is the principal dentist and owner of Toowoomba Dental, where he leads the practice with a strong focus on patient comfort, thoughtful design, and high-quality dentistry for the Toowoomba community. Michael believes that visiting the dentist should feel calm, welcoming, and reassuring. As the director of the practice, he has carefully shaped every aspect of Toowoomba Dental to create a warm and homely environment for patients and families. From the moment you walk through the doors, his goal is for you to feel relaxed, cared for, and confident in your dental care.
Michael completed his dental training at Griffith University in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast, graduating with a strong foundation in both business and dentistry. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, he takes great pride in delivering precise, high-quality dental treatment while ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit. Patients across Toowoomba and the Darling Downs often comment on Michael’s friendly and calm manner, which helps put even the most nervous patients at ease.

Outside the clinic, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife Chelsea and their two children. He is also an enthusiastic backyard beekeeper, and when he’s not caring for patients at Toowoomba Dental you will often find him tending to his bees.
